I really make an effort sometimes, but apparently I'm not the sort to inspire people to gossip with me. That said, my office doesn't really get into the whole office politics thing in a big way, for which I am grateful. But I continue to be astounded at people I know who DO have tales of woe about coworkers backstabbing them, taking credit for work they've done, etc. I don't know how people deal with that!!
