Another Design Team Call. This time from Life Preservers Club

Good luck! Please let me know if you are successful so we can share good news stories here on Mad Cropper!

We are looking for talented artists who inspire others to create-someone whose creations others look at and say, “I want to do that.”

A member of the Captain’s Crew must:

~ Interact, provide inspiration and encourage LPS members by participating on a regular basis via the LPS message board. This is a MUST!

~ Participate in our quarterly online crops, contribute challenges to those crops and participate fully (this is also a MUST!).

~ Have the ability to take good photographs of your projects for display on the home page.

~ Designers are required to submit at least 3 layouts/projects per month by the deadline (to be determined based upon kit shipment). One MUST be a 12×12 layout. The second MUST be a layout of another size; such as 8.5×11, 6×12, 8×8, etc. The final item can be of your choice; cards are considered a project. Altered artists are encouraged to apply-this is your place to SHINE!

~ Contribute on a rotating basis to the newsletters (both techniques and inspiration), and host a thread on the message board that will inspire others (again, this will be on a rotating weekly basis).

~ All work must be your original artwork.
Use of products not found in the monthly kit is permitted, as long as the focus remains on the monthly kit products.

The Captain’s Crew term will be 6 months, beginning January 1, 2009 and ending June 30, 2009. All message board members are encouraged to apply.
Your bio and picture will be featured on the main web page, and your work will be promoted in our newsletters, and on the forum.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please submit THREE layouts and ONE project (at least TWO of the four items must be newly created for this DT call, and not published elsewhere). One of your submission layouts must be a size that is NOT 12×12. These items need to best represent your talents and skills as well as your style. All submitted work must be your original work. You will submit to: mrtinney@gmail.com. This is to be a blind selection made by the judging crew; the recipient will submit to me the entrants without name info so that there will be no bias whatsoever.

With your submission, please answer the following
~ Tell us about yourself!
~ When did you start scrapbooking?
~ Why do you scrapbook? (tell how you got started, if applicable, and/or what inspires you).
~ How would you or others describe your style?
~ Why are you applying to be a member of the Captain’s Crew?
~ Do you have any other talents you feel that would benefit our community and how?
~ Do you have an active blog that you update regularly? (provide link)
~ Life Preservers Forum user name:
~ Are you active on any other message boards or forums?
~ Give an example of a class or technique you would like to share with others. (If it is one you’ve done previously, please provide the link).
~ Please provide a list of all current and past Design Team experience (past design team work is not required). For current design teams, please list your design requirements and term for that team. If you have a scrapbook resume, or a link to a gallery you would like us to see please provide that as well.

JOIN and INTERACT on our forum. We want to get to know you! Since participation is a requirement of the “job”, we want to see you in action!

Submission deadline: November 30, 2008. The new DT will be announced on December 15, 2008.

International applicants-you are welcome to apply-for any difference in postage over the highest US rate for me to ship will be your responsibility.

DT members will receive a free basic kit each month. If you purchase the upgrade to a Mega sized kit or any add-ons and the postage increases, the postage difference will be your responsibility.
