Life Two Presents “How to Be Happy”

HappierThere’s a week of happiness going on at Life Two. It’s a week long series based on the work of Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar and his book Happier.

Though the book isn’t required to enjoy, and, participate in the series, it comes highly recommended.

The first lesson, From Happy to Happier helps you explore what makes you happy, and, I’m glad to see they included something I constantly need reminding of, that “happiness is not a place or a destination, it’s a continuum”.

I just discovered this, so, I’m going to have to think on today’s lesson for a while, but, be sure to check out the other authors and bloggers participating:

Gretchen Rubin (Happiness Project)
Penelope Trunk (The Brazen Careerist)
Jed Diamond (MenAlive)
“Dating Goddess” (The Dating Goddess)
Rhea Becker (Boomer Chronicles)
Nicolette Beard (Man-o-Pause)
Jackie Silver (AgingBackwards)

What makes you happy?

I know that this is really, really shallow, but chocolate really makes me happy.

    Non-fattening things include:
lack of worries (since I’m a happy person if I’m not worrying)
seeing my husband and daughter happy
quiet time sitting on my favorite beach
    reading a really good book
    writing a really good book
