Limo Pickup from School – Cool or Not So Cool
I’ve been looking into the possibility of having a limo pick my kids and some of their friends up after school the weekend of their 16th birthday.
Is that a cool thing now or a not so cool, bury your head in the sand sort of thing?
If I were to have the limo pick them up – what should I have them do afterwards. I mean the 10 minute drive from school to home isn’t going to be that amazing. They could drive around town and wave at everyone they see – but I want this to be an amazing, memorable weekend.
Limo or not?
Help!

I thibk that would be lots of fun! Have the driver stand there with their names on a card and then take them for a quick tour around town. That would make them feel awesome amongst their friends. Great idea
Limo pickup for just the boys: embarrassing.
Limo pickup for the boys and their friends: cool.
Limo picking them and their friends up will deffinately be a good thing.
Give them a tour of the city. Ask the limo driver if he knows some spots that they would enjoy.
Most drivers know some amazing spots, since that’s their business after all.
Another tip, get the driver to put some sodas in the limo with the champaigne glasses. It’ll make them feel more grown up.
My mom did this for me and my friend when I was 16, and it was alot of fun.
Limo sounds really cool. My 16-year-old would love that. I’d have the limo just cruise around a bit, maybe go through a fast food drive-thru or something that might seem silly to grown-ups, but cool to the boys. Let me go ask my kids and I’ll be right back.
Okay, Greg pointed out that the limo might not make it through the drive-thru. Duh. So silly of me not to think of that. He suggested driving around “downtown.” (He’s 17).
I hope that the boys have a wonderful birthday!!
If the limos where you live are anything like the ones around me…you rent by the hour. How about you have the driver pick the kids up at school and then bring them to local batting cages…or an indoor golf driving range? After school, and during the week…such places may not be too busy
