Iceland can’t afford to keep the Big Mac. The three McDonald’s restaurants in the city of Reykjavik will close next weekend amid falling profits due to Iceland’s economic troubles. According to the ABC News story, Iceland Says Goodbye to the Big Mac, the Big Mac already costs $5.29 in Iceland. To keep the burger profitable, the price would have risen to $6.36, making it the most expensive Big Mac in the world. Right now, the most expensive Big Mac in the world is in Norway and Switzerland where the burger is $5.75!
