Misshaped Proteins Like Ones Associated With Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Can Affect Immune System (March 8, 2007) – A group of Portuguese scientists report in an article soon to be published in ‘Journal of Immunology’ that an important molecule of the immune system (MHC class I) can be affected by the formation of misshapen proteins.
Gene Tests and Brain Imaging Reveal Early Dementia (March 9, 2007) – New research from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden shows that it’s possible to detect approaching Alzheimer’s Disease several years before onset of symptoms.
Clinical Trials: Indiana University Center for Alzheimer’s Disease is looking for volunteers for a clinical trail focusing on the effects of DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) in slowing the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. Further info…
