My 2 yr old has that exact same horrified-open-mouthed-terror-stricken expression when his feelings are hurt! Makes you want to say “OHHhhhh” in that chuckling kind of way..
The looks says, “How could you do this to me? I thought you LOVED me!”

Yeah he gets over it – when it comes out of the dryer.
Sometimes I just let him have it wet because I can’t tolerate any more screaming.
He’ll sit in front of the washer crying if he sees me put it in.
