And so some schools in Long Island are going to be getting energy straight from the sun. Thanks to a project that makes use of solar panels.
According to the report, all of this is actually part of a project that is aimed at energy conservation. It has been given a $6 million budget and the Smithtown school board had given the thumbs up for it. For Long Island, they would be taking away $1.2 million of the whole $6. That is a huge amount of money and with that they would be able to provide and install solar panels to around 10 schools out of the 14 that can be found in the area.
People behind this project are looking at five years to be able to return back what they have invested in. However, after that, it is going to be all savings for them. Indeed, that is going to be a good one. Don’t you think so?
