looking for inspiration in nature

I just spent a couple of days in the mountains, and of course came back with a camera full of photos
I can’t seem to go on vacation without my camera – you’ll never know where you’ll find inspiration for your next piece of fiber art!
It’s funny though, as much as I love the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, the photos I find most inspire me to create art are of the little things. I love the texture of lichen on rock, how water reflects sunlight – even the twists and curves of tree roots.
Here are some of my favorite photos (just remember, they are my copyright and may not be used without my permission) – that are making my fingers itch to start a new art project:

So next time you’re looking for inspiration – I’d recommend taking a fresh look at the little things. Pay attention to texture and detail – you might be surprised at how much is out there!

I agree with you as well. I have been carrying my camera with me every where and taking pictures as I go along.
how do you copyright your pictures?
Hi Lavon,
Actually – any time you take a photo or create something you automatically own the copyright. I simply post a reminder because I’m a little obsessive about my own photos
I just added the captions in Photoshop.
Hope this helps!
