Love is in the Air at the Carnival
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the b5 Media Family & Relationship channel bloggers are talking about LOVE! Yep, that’s right. We are having our monthly carnival today.
Thrifty Mommy is a lot like me – Everyday Should Be Like Valentines Day! I would rather experience the non-tangible side of love rather than have my husband go out and spend $$ on me, for the sake of spending it. Now, if he really does feel compelled, a nice necklace with the gem stones of each of my kids will do.
I knew Gayla at Dating Dames would have her own interesting spin on the holiday and its sentiments. Did you know that 8 out of 10 Online Daters will Lie for Love? Honestly, I would be concerned with anyone who was willing to lie that early on in a relationship.
At Widow’s Quest, Anna reminds us of the positive side of having been loved in her Love Makes the World Go Round post.
And Elizabeth at GenBetween recounts her Mother’s final Act of Love in a very moving post.
Kim at Blogfabulous wants to know if Cooking is the Secret to a Good Marriage? I missed out on the domestication gene, and like Kim, cooking is not something that has come naturally to me. Luckily, my husband has been quite patient for over 12 years and I have finally got a few guaranteed-to-please recipes in my collection. Looking for a good chili recipe, Kim? I’ll be in touch.
What is love if you don’t share it? Babylune is having another contest and she wants to share her love (and a great book) with you.
Some of the best love we will ever receive comes from our children. Inside Motherhood defines Love from her perspective – a Mom receiving love from her child.
Love at the Office – it’s not what you think according to Elizabeth at Career and Kids. How many of her expressions of love have you shown?
Solo Mother tackles love from another perspective – one of wonder and thought in her post titled I‘m so nervous, will I sleep? As a single mom, she relies even more on her support network to raise her child, but even in a two parent household, I find I could not raise my kids without some help from my friends.
And finishing on a playful note, PlayLibrary wants to jog our memories with Playground Games We Love. Anyone up for a game of Dodgeball?
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and get to celebrate it in the way it means the most to you. Me, I’ll make sure the kids have their Valentine’s cards packed in their backpacks, the cookies will be made (thanks Pillsbury), and I will be happy with a kiss from my husband (or a necklace will do, too).

You did a great job, Char!! Thank you.
Thanks Char for sharing the “love”…
Looks super! Happy Valentine’s Day. Hope you get that necklace.
What a great group of posts. HOpe there isn’t a love triangle anywhere
