Loving the Create a Treat Gingerbread Kits

You may recall that we made a pathetic gingerbread house for Christmas. So, when the kids wanted to buy a clearanced kit at Target the other day, I was really hesitant. They begged, the kit was super cheap and I gave in. Then, I kept putting off the big building event. Well, we gave it a try today. I had all of the same kids and didn’t even have the engineer help and we had so much fun.

The kit was a train by Create a Treat and the only thing that gave us even a bit of trouble was the part where we had to snap the pieces of the train apart along the scored lines. The tray held the pieces steady while we did the assembly, the icing was pre-mixed…There was even a video about putting the whole kit together:
