Lower Risk of Prostate Cancer in Diabetics

According to a new study, men with Type 2 Diabetes “are at less risk of developing prostate cancer than men without diabetes.” They have not been able to determine exactly why diabetes seems to offer protection against this type of cancer. More research is needed. In the meantime, however, diabetic men can take some comfort in the fact that they are at a reduced risk for the second-most common cancer in American men.

IF the latest data on vitamin D is correct you can still both of these birds with one stone. Deficiency of vitamin D is now thought to be a key factor in both diabetes and cancer. the Canadian cancer society now recommends everyone takes vitain D to prevent cancer. take a look at http://www.vitaminD3world.com for some good summaries of the data
