Lunch box lunches that don’t suck

So far my lunches that I’ve been making for my daughter have been tame. She has a little insulated lunch bag. In it I manage to stuff two little juice boxes, a cat-head-shaped container that fits two sandwiches, a container with some sort of fruit salad or applesauce, and some snack things, either cheese slices, cut-up oranges, or whatever we decide on the night before. I cram an ice pack in, zip it shut, and stuff it in her school bag. So far it’s working.
However, what I really want to do is get a few containers with multiple compartments inside so that I can try being a little more interesting and daring.
I get so inspired by sites like Vegan Lunchbox. You don’t have to be vegan (clearly I’m not, what with the mention of cheese) to appreciate the beauty of the lunches she creates. I’ve also recently fallen totally in love with Lunch In A Box. It really makes me want to do something more interesting than slapping a bit of bologna between two slices of bread and cutting it into four squares, you know?
I think I need a Bento for Beginners site, something to get me started slowly. Do you make cool lunches? Tell me about them!
