In celebration of America’s Labor Day on 1 Sep and New Zealand’s Father’s Day on 7 Sep, I am pleased to announce Mad Cropper’s latest contest, which was made possible with the help of Picnik.com

Picnik is a photo-editing Web site that gives anyone the ability to quickly and easily edit, enhance, customize and print their photos from any Internet browser, on any computer, which is an ideal tool for scrapbookers! Picnik allows users to digitally edit and personalize photos for any scrapbook project, without the hassle of downloading software. Additionally, Picnik can serve as a complimentary tool to other recommended scrapbooking software.

Picnik is giving away year-long memberships to Picnik Premium to 3 lucky Mad Cropper readers. Each membership is worth $25/year.

Want to learn how you can join? Find out more after the jump

Winning one of the Picnik Premium memberships is easy:

  1. All you have to do is visit Picnik website and let us know what other features you’d like to see on Picnik by leaving a comment on this Contest post.
  2. All these ideas will be submitted to Picnik for future consideration. The top 3 ideas selected by me win the year-long memberships.
  3. Contest will run from 3 Sep till 12 Sep, Friday.
  4. Anyone, anywhere in the world can join this contest :-)
  5. Winners will be announced the week after the Mad Cropper Team’s (read: my Husband, daughter and myself :-) selection.

  1. ok, I have to admit this was my first time at Picnik, but I spent HOURS there!! I love it and will USE it FROM NOW ON!!! The one thing that I really didnt see is overtones, like if I turn my photo black and white but I want my shirt(or something im holding, or any object in photo) to have a hint of color still, I did try using the paint brush to create this look, but wasnt working after i turned photo black and white, plus when i just shaded the photo to look black and white and then tried the paint brush, It was a full color and not the light overtone look I was going for! GOOD LUCK TO ME!!! Would love a Membership!! Love THIS WEBSITE!!!!

that’s a great comment Tiffany. I’ll be sure to pass it on to the Picnik team. I also have a membership with Picnik and I love it! :-)

  3. Ellen MacDougall says:

Okay. I agree with Christine. This was also a feature I was trying to see if picnik could do. I’m pretty tech savvy but really think I could have used tips, demos or some type of hints with each feature/function (similiar to in the advanced on the Create Tab where it gives you a ? that when clicked brings you up a description). A Demo that features what you can do (Tutorial) would also help their ability to sell up the premium features. The blog shows some of the things but I know there has to be so, so much more! But regardless. I love this site and will use it often.
    Thanks. Ellen

  4. Christine says:

    Hi Ellen.

Maybe the premium membership can do the feature you’re looking for?

  5. jewelkat says:

I like what I saw using a demo photo. I’d like to see more frames and edges available. It may be in the premium edition. I’ll definitely use this site- it’s easy and fun!

  6. Claudia Vitello says:

    OH BOY

  7. Monique Rizzo says:

    Great contest! Love this stuff!

  8. David says:

I like that you don’t have to install anything.

  9. Oniecakes says:

I like to see a “dodge” tool to lighten some parts of the picture and a “burn” tool also to darken some parts.

  10. Noreen says:

I would like to super inpose one picture over another

  11. Irene Lenihan says:

I didn’t find a way to resize to inches instead of pixels. That would be nice to have

  12. I love Picnik, it is so much fun to use and super friendly. I would love to be able to make a collage with multiple photos. In my mind that is the only little thing missing at this point. Thanks for the great giveaway :)

  13. Halle says:

Wow…I’d never heard of this site before. What a fantastic tool. The only thing I’d add is a way to order prints. An all-in-one site with awesome photo editing for blogs, scrapbooking and standrad photo prints would be ideal!

  14. Oniecakes says:

I would also like to see a “reduce noise” tool that would be very useful for pictures taken with very visible color noise. :)

  15. cobalt123 says:

Wow, just saw a photo collage done on a friend’s site and had to come try out the features. This is highly intuitive and offers many editing tricks that are unusual in the layout. For what more can be added to the tools already available, all I can think of is a way to make composite images combining two or three images into one. If two selections are saved with a lasso or other tool and saved, then they could be combined together. It would be 3 photo uploads and then a finished image, so that would work for the basic use limit of 5 photo uploads. What do you think?

  16. Elizabeth M. says:

This is amazing! I’d love the option to be able to send the photos after having “prettied” them up!

  17. Regina says:

    Great idea!

  18. Dawn Johnson says:

    Sweet

  19. Marilyn says:

    more frames available.

  20. Veronica Garrett says:

I would like to see a feature on the site to allow collages to be made. I would likr to make collages of my family.
