As mentioned a few days ago, Mad Cropper is running a Random Act of Kindness Contest in conjunction with Eastman Kodak’s All-in-one printer to celebrate the start of its 4th year! Yay!

Prize up for grabs: Kodak EASYSHARE 5300 All-in-One Printer with a value of $149.99

Guidelines after the jump

Contest guidelines:

1) In the spirit of the Random Act of Kindness giveaway in the scrapbooking world, nominate someone whom you think deserves to receive a Kodak Easyshare 5300 All-in-One Printer by leaving a comment on this post.

2) You cannot nominate yourself.

3) The contest is open to RAK recipients based in the US only. The one who leaves a comment and nominates (that’s you!) does not have to be based in the US but you can nominate someone based in the US but remember, you have to tell us why this person deserves a Kodak Easyshare 5300 All-in-One printer.

4) One entry per person.

5) The contest will run for 2 weeks from 14-28 May 2008. Entries will be accepted till 11.59pm EST on 28 May 2008.

I will announce the winner on 31 May 2008, Saturday. Michael Mayfield from Eastman Kodak will select the lucky winner. His choice is final.

For any enquiries, please shoot me an email on christine(at)b5media(dot)com.

Have fun and good luck!

I nominate my friend, Les, from ScrapWords. She started her dream business, an online blogging and scrapbooking website. She is struggling as she just celebrated her 1st Anniversaray and the store is starting to grow. I have met such lovely people on her website – and she is always cheerful, encouraging and friendly. It takes a brave person to follow a dream, and she is truly doing it! I thank her for welcoming me, as I am disabled and housebound. She has given me a place to call home online. A place where I am happy, loved, and supported in my creative endeavors. I would be totally lost if not for Les. Please consider her for the printer… she mentioned the other day that she needed one…. and I would LOVE to give just a little back to her. Thank you!

  2. Holly says:

I nominate my scrapbook mentor , Halli. I met her through Creative Memories. She has helped me organize 13 years of photos so I can get them into books, encouraged me with my albums, helped me expand my creativity on my pages. She could really put this amazing printer to use as she, her husband and two sons (grade school age) are going to China in June to pick up their new adoptive daughter. They’re going to be taking tons of pictures while over there to share with friends and if course making memory books for their new daughter of her place of birth and heritage.

  3. mannequin says:

I would like to nominate my son who does not live with me. He lives with his dad in another state. I had bought him a printer and he took very good care of it and it finally wore out ( twas cheap). He needs a printer for schoolwork and to print out sheetmusic. At 11 years old, he is a musician extraordinare’. He would so love this and he has worked so hard at his music lessons. He has taken piano for 6 years and guitar for 3. There is lots of sheet music available on the web but he cannot use without printer.
    He so deserves it!

  4. LESLY says:

i would like to nominate my sister terri, she has shared her knowledge and her scrapping supplies in great quantities with me. without her, i’d just be a “virgin scrapper wannabe”

  5. amyb says:

i would like to nominate my sister in law, deb. she is a scrapping fiend! she takes the time to take pictures at all our school events. when her daughter’s (8 years old now) best friend was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, she made a quilt with all the kids from the class for this little girl, and is always there to help this girl and her mom (the girl’s daddy and she were diagnosed with cancer within months of each other, only he didn’t make it.) she truly has the most giving heart!

  6. I nominate my best friend, Kristine Paisley. When I was interested in starting scrapbooking three years ago, she not only helped me start my first page, but also answered my many questions over the phone. She often will lend her creative services to her children’s classes and to friends and she has made some amazing projects over the years. Kristine now has to work full time, but she still manages to find time for her first love-scrapbooking. I know that over the years she has inspired many to take up this hobby and will continue to share it with anyone who is interested. To view her work, visit her blog at: http://www.paisleyscraps.blogspot.com

  7. Patty Williams says:

I’d like to nominate April Ordonez. She was one of the very first blogs I ever found. She has helped me along the way to learn how to scrapbook and rubberstamp! She has been making lots of awesome scrap layouts and I know she could use a great photo printer! She has two adorable little boys and a very handsome husband that she scraps many pages of , not to mention other family membes/events!

She has always been willing to lend me a hand, be it telling me how to do something or sending me a RAK for no reason…just because!

I think April would make a wonderful recipient of a really fantastic printer such as this Kodak!

    Thank you!

  8. Chris Peden says:

I would like to nominate my daughter. She finished high school early, in January at age 17, started community college classes and earned a 4.0 this semester!! While doing this, she also worked 40 hours a week and has the first semester paid! I saved up and bought her a laptop for her graduation (she actually gets her high school diploma next week since they only have one ceremony a year. The printer would be a wonderful addition! She is also starting to scrapbook-and really enjoying it!

  9. Doris says:

This is my third attempt at nominating – for some reason, my posts don’t show up. I would like to nominate my co-worker, Alma for this. She is a single mother of 3 girls and after many years of taking 1 or 2 classes a semester, she is graduating with her AA degree in a couple of weeks. During this time, she has held a full-time job as well as going to school. She is a scrapbooker but for the present, she doesn’t put a lot of time into it because of school. Alma is always cheerful and often the last of the clerical staff out of the office. I know she would really be surprised and honored to receive this.

  10. Tammy Darling says:

I nominate my son Travis. He graduated high school last year at age 16, is a National Merit Scholar and is attending college year round 1000 miles from home. His 8 year old brother, 7 year old sister, and I miss him very much. We bought him a Kodak digital camera for Christmas so he could get some pictures for us. The problem is he has to go somewhere to print them. If you know anything about a teenage boy in college, then you know that isn’t going to happen. With this Kodak all in one printer, we might actually get to see some of the pictures he has taken. This printer would also come in very handy with his school work. I wonder what he would use it for the most?

  11. Ruth Madewell says:

I nominate my Mom Donna to win the Eastman Kodak’s All-in-one printer. She is not exactly technically savvy, and now that I have moved to another state I can’t help her print her pictures anymore. Her scrapbooking has come to a screeching halt.
The Kodak All-in-one printer looks easy to use and the pictures look great. Just what my mom needs!

  12. Carol says:

I would like to nominate my daughter Kristen. She has been scrapbooking for several years, and participates in many plays and shows. Her keepsake scrapbooks are a joy to her, and she is a joy to me. cdziuba@aol.com

  13. cathy miller says:

I nominate my son Ryan to win the Eastman Kodak’s All-in-one printer. Yesterday he graduated with honors from college yesterday and is about to embark on a new career. He and his wife could use this gift and I’m very proud of their accomplishments

  14. Michael Capp says:

    I want to win!

  15. Diana Lindeman says:

I nominate my husband of 46 years who helps me learn new techniques in photography all the time.

  16. I am nominating my mom, Tina. She deserves this (in my opinion) because she is retiring in October of this year. She’s worked hard all of her life, and when she retires, she’s going to be a transcriptionist from home, so she’ll need a printer! And hopefully within the next year, my mom will be a grandma! She’ll want to print pictures for sure then! :)

My son was constantly getting Pneumonia from time he was born till ten months old.He was hospitalized about four times and each time my mom was there. My mom came to the hospital and even stayed over night there to help take care of him. She always puts everyone else before herself. Right now she spends most of her time going to my grandmas house to take care of her. She spends at least three to four days in a row there before switching out with my brother. My mom has been taking care of my grandma for a month now and will continue on until my Uncle is out of the nursing home for rehab. Even then she will probably continue helping because my uncle foot was amputated. Will take time to get use to his prosthetic. My mom is a amazing lady and deserves so much more then what life has dealt her.

April 4, 2007, the day I turned 19, my mom moved five minutes from me with 10 1/2 years sobriety, her car payed off, and money saved for the move after working two and three jobs for years. On mothers day this year she was there when I graduated from Gulf Coast College magna cum lada 3.8 GPA. She is going to be here when I graduate FSU, when I get married, and when I have my own children. I know she has missed alot of my years but we have alot of years left. It is still hard for her to forgive herself but I told her “mom I have forgiven you and God has forgiven you, so please forgive yourself”.

  29. Gary Ray says:

I nominate my wife, Elizabeth Ray. Mother to our two autistic kids, she is always ready to listen and help out others. A 5 year suvrivor of breast cancer, she is particapating in thie years Relay for Life to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. (Her printer, which she has been using to print up flyers for the Relay for Life, has developed problems, and this prize would be very helpful to her.)

  31. Carolyn Hagerman says:

I nominate my oldest daughter Stacy. She is such a wonderful girl and a top notch scrapper. She has had tremendous patience with me trying to help me learn about the scrapping world. I’m a slow learner and she has been so good to old mom. She truly would deserve this prize. Thanks so much. :)

I am nominating my mom who is an absolute die-hard Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan. She attends a number of games, even travels to whatever city they are playing their last games in the series each season. She takes many photos and has them autographed at later games (for her own collection, not for ebay) and meet and greets with the players. This is what makes her happy and she enjoys the relative easy access to the players on this team.

  39. Stacy Miller says:

I nominate my mom, always completely selfless—-she deserves something wonderful to brighten her day—like winning this!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Ann Marie Walker says:

I nominate my Sister Terri. She has done so many nice things for me and my family. She was never able to have children, and is like the second mother to mine. I know that she is always there for me, and would do anything for me. When we went through a tough time financially, she was right there. She would show up with clothes for my kids, or bags of grocerys. When my daughter was ill, she sat right there beside me all nite in the hospital. She is also a geriatric nurse and gives it her all helping people. I know many of times when she stayed after work, just to hold someone hand while they passed away, so they wouldnt be alone. I’d love to be able to give something back to her. To let her know how much I love her and appreciate her. I just got her hooked on scrapbooking, and this would be wonderful for her. Even if I dont win. I’m happy to be able to post something about how much she means to me.

  41. Diana K says:

I would like to nominate my father to receive the printer because my mother is in the early stages of alzheimer’s disease. I think that printing out pictures of family and friends and keeping them out where she can see them may enable her to keep memories of her family longer.

I nominate my husband. He designs websites, runs a computer club and does not charge for his time. He is so kind. He could sure use this.

I nominate my 13 y/o step-daughter. She isn’t sure yet what career path she wants to go down but photography is a possibility for her. Last year we got her a nicer digital camera for Christmas and she really enjoys taking pictures but she doesn’t have a photo printer at her house to use to copy her pictures.
