Mae Laborde, 97 year old actress

Mae Laborde started her acting career just 4 years ago. However, she was 93 when she did it.

Currently, the 97 year old works in a host of TV shows, commercials, and, films. You may remember her as the cheerleader on ESPN commercial.

Now, I’m no expert, but, there has to be something to the theory of keeping busy, and, longevity.

My father is one of those people who will, and, needs to, work as long as he can. He’s 74, and, teaches high school full time. He doesn’t really like summer when school’s out, and, usually spends it getting ready for the next school year. Whenever the time comes for him to stop working, I really think he will decline rapidly.

His brother, my uncle who just died, was 87, and, he ran his oil and gas exploration business, even while in the hospital before he died.

While I don’t relish the thought of going to work in my eighties, though I might change my mind then, I sure hope I’m able to do something meaningful, because it sure looks like that has something to do with your quality of life in your later years.
