Make Your Mornings (and Chores) Go Quicker

If you have little ones, this project is a great way to quicken up your mornings and laundry routine. Kids like to be independent, but that often translates to s…l…o…w.
To speed up your child when he’s picking out his own clothing, and to help him to help you when it comes to putting away the laundry, try this cool project.
Clothing labels:

How they look on a bin:

The project how-to above is located at The Nesting Diary. Full instructions are included as well as more pictures.
This is a very cool way to allow your kids some independence, while still not having them holler for you every four minutes about where the shirts are located. I had a set-up like this when Cedar little, and he couldn’t remember where his stuff went, and it really helped. He’d glance at a label and know right away what was hidden behind the dresser drawer.
I also used to use a system like this on toy bins - so we had a picture of a Lego on the Lego bin, Hot-Wheels on the car bin, and so on. If you actually write the words, as opposed to just using pictures, it’s a nice way to let your kids see words as well.
When I did this project I used ribbon to tie the labels on, but I like this idea with the little rings better - more sturdy.

I like this idea a lot. Combine this with GrrAnimals and you’ll never have to think about dressing the kids again! (maybe)
Very cute and smart idea!!

Ooh, we have these bins in IKEA storage. I may need to use it to sort the toys.
Great idea. I plan on using it with the younger children I tutor. I teaches the how to associate objects with pictures and also teaches basic words. Thank you
@Cangel yup, it would help with words, as well as organizing. It’s an all around great (and inexpensive) idea.
