This is a cute idea from Scrapbooks Etc. Create your own gift bags! I’m sure the recipient of your pressie would appreciate the effort and trouble you went into making these gift bags. I know I would! It’s not just for Christmas though, you can use these for birthday gift bags and other special occasions!
Materials:
Sewing machine
Fabric
Thread
Ribbon
Eyelets
Patterned paper1. Cut the fabric into a 6×16″ rectangle. Fold the fabric in half with right sides together. Stitch the sides. Fold the opening of the bag and stitch to create a hem. Turn the bag right side out.
2. Mark the position of the eyelets about 2″ from the top of the bag. Snip small holes for the eyelets with scissors. Add the eyelets to the bag, and string ribbon through the holes to create the closure.
3. Cut patterned paper to fit inside a metal-rim tag. Enhance with glitter and a note as desired. Add an eyelet at the top of the tag, and string through the ribbon closure.
