Make Your Own Kid Friendly Cleaning Stuff

Using homemade, green cleaning supplies just makes sense. It is a necessity for us because several of my kids and I have chemical allergies and sensitivities, but even without that it is important. And inexpensive. And safer.
I don’t know if you heard all of the news a couple of years ago but around here they were warning people away from brightly colored chemical cleaners. You know the ones, don;t you? They are inexpensive and come in colors like bright purple, bright red, and bright green. Apparently little kids were drinking them thinking they were Koolaid.
That is awful. Sure, you need to be careful with any cleaners but at least with the homemade type you can ensure that there are only edible, natural ingredients in them like vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice!
My good friend, Jennifer Chait, who is also my partner in my plan to take over the world, has written an fantastic post on homemade cleaners on her blog, Inhabitots. If you haven’t read that blog, or aren’t aware of it you are missing out on some major awesomeness. It is everything green for kids and she does a great job at it.
Anyway, on How to Make Your Own Eco, Kid Safe Cleaning Supplies she has recipes for simply everything you could possibly need to keep your house sparkling..except maybe a live in maid.
