Making a Handmade Journal On the Cheap

If you want to make a journal but don’t have too much money try this fantastic link at Dawn Vinson’s Daydreaming on Paper website. The photos and instructions are clear and in simple easy to follow language.

Makingbooks.com has some fun and interesting sample projects you can make. Even though they are children’s projects there’s nothing to stop you turning these into adult journals.

For more sophisticated yet excellent instructions for creating artistic books try the San Diego Museum of Art’s website. You will need Adobe Reader on your computer to open and read these, as they in PDF format.

There are more simple instructions here, too.

Your local library is also an excellent place to find books with instructions on how to make your own journals.
