Encaustic paintings are like nothing else. They have a depth and a luminous quality that just can’t be mimicked by anything else.

There are many ready-made products available for purchase, but Andrew Gott has posted an article at Wet Canvas explaining how to make your own! It’s a bit messy and time-consuming, but if you are serious about encaustics, the control and the savings would be worth it! Thank you Andrew!
