Man Uses Facebook To Announce Divorce

Facebook. Do you use Facebook? I have a Facebook account, but I very rarely use it. It’s not very user friendly, in my opinion. I hear Facebook mentioned on tv shows or commercials, but everybody I know says the same thing, “I’ve got an account, but I don’t use it.”

A man in England used Facebook to announce his divorce. His wife, she had no idea, until a friend contacted her.

But the message Emma Brady’s husband posted on Facebook could not have been more devastating.

It read: ‘Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady.’

Mrs Brady, a 35-year-old conference organiser, claims she had no idea he even wanted a divorce, and only found out when a friend, who read the post on the social networking website, rang to console her.

Later, Mrs. Brady went home where she did not mention reading about the divorce announcement and her husband acted as if everything was normal.  Until Christmas time that is, when he assaulted her because he suspected she was seeing another man.  Now he’s living with his mom

Yeesh, what a mess.  I wonder if he kept his Facebook friends well informed.

totally ridiculous. facebook makes that announcement anytime you change your relationship status even if you merely change your status from available for public view to not being a part of your profile. its a standard facebook feed not an actual message posted by her husband. even if he did feel that way. so your attention grabber is a bit preposterous.

I read about a husband spotting his wife’s facebook had single status and he killed her. Man, sick world sometimes. I do have a facebook acct and use it weekly.

i also think Facebook is not that user friendly.I guess twitter is much simpler..
anyway, thats a sad sorry.what kind of man do that to his wife?maybe he chickened out to face and tell her himself

  4. It sounds like he was angry and lashing out or something. So odd since she went home that day and he acted normal.

  5. I remember my ex did that. It was on a social network he didn’t think I knew he was on, and he listed himself as separated in order to make “new friends” through that network.
