Many, Many Valentine’s Days
I don’t know if my husband realizes this, but this year will be our 25th Valentine’s Day together.
I also don’t believe that he realizes that after all of these years, I really don’t like chocolate!
(Chocolate covered cherries and peanut M&Ms are the weird exceptions).
Brownies being the ultimate symbol of my dislike for chocolate.
Ack! Can you believe it?
So, what should arrive today via Fed Ex…an entire box of Valentine’s day Chocolate heart-shaped brownies, from Eleni’s.
Oh boy…what to do and how to do it with grace.
I do hope he doesn’t read this…but here’s how I plan to show him this Valentine’s Day how much our years have meant and just how creative I can be with chocolate and, ugh — brownies.
I’m going to take his very lovely pieces of brownie art, melt some Hershey’s chocolate to make a ganache…slice up some bananas and make some whipped cream.
Then I will build tiny individual banana/chocolate/brownie heart towers…dusted with powdered sugar.
Served with these little treasures will be a chilled glass of Champagne, in crystal glasses.
How’s that, think he’ll like it?
p.s. Now, champagne I DO love.

You are very sweet, Kim, which is probably why you guys have seen 25 Valentine’s Days together.
Hi R…
Thanks so much for returning to BF and for your kind words.
Turns out he DID read this post…I feel so badly…but he did understand…lol
