Faith Hill and Martha Stewart quickly put together some Halloween Treat Bags for the kids in your neighborhood, your kid,s class, or hey, how about your co-workers. Who doesn’t like Halloween candy wrapped-up with a little fun?
You can have your choice of a bag that looks like a witch’s broom a mummy or a pumpkin:
Pumpkin Treat Bag How-To
Tools and Materials
Orange mini craft bag
Craft knife
Floral tape
Candy1. Fill orange mini craft bag with candy.
2. Cinch and twist top of bag together to form stem; you can trim off 1/2 inch of bag for your desired length.
3. Cut off a piece of floral tape and stretch it so it becomes sticky.
4. Wrap floral tape around stem. Start at the top and move downward. Rip off tape; leave 3 to 4 extra inches hanging on the bottom.
5. Twist extra tape into a tendril and wrap it around finger until it curls.

I made the broom stick treat bags for my class at school. They were very easy, a bit time consuming but was so worth the look on their faces when they saw that they were their goodie bags. It was terribly inexspensive and believable I fit 12 pieces of toys and candies in the bottom of that bag as well as a pencil and a pen. They looked awesome sitting on their snack table next to a foggy cauldron and eerie goodies to eat.
I am so glad that the idea worked great for you. As I watched her make those I could see how they would be time consuming, but worth the fun they had, and I new that this would be an inexpensive project. Your students sound like they have a lot of fun.
