Martha Stewart’s Mom Passes Away

Martha Stewart wrote on her blog this week that her mother, aka “Big Martha”, passed away on Friday. Martha Stewart had announced on her show last week that her mom had suffered a small stroke.
On Monday’s show she played a tribute to her mother showing old pictures and segments cooking with her mom. Over the years “Big Martha” had joined her daughter in over 40 cooking segments sharing years of experience and family recipes. Her recipes always managed to become some of the most downloaded of the Martha Stewart website.
Martha Kostyra was 93.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed watching you and your mother, what a grand lady she was.
I wish you and your family my best. And thank you again for sharing her with all of us.
