My grandmother saved scraps from favorite articles of clothing and made a “memories” quilt with them. It was neat to look at that quilt and be flooded with warm memories of me wearing that favorite dress to grade school, or Mom wearing that apron as she made homemade biscuits… a great tradition that needs to be brought back.

I don’t quilt right now, but my mother has started a great tradition of quilting using our old tshirts. It’s really cool!

i have one quilt that my grandma made. it’s string quilt. made from all the dresses she made for my sister and i. i have passed it on to my daughter. so many memories.
