Preserving Holiday Memories

Make sure you preserve those holiday memories for your family and future generations.  Readers shared, through their comments on our Bloggy Giveaways for Halloween Reads and a Cole Family Christmas, their past and present traditions.  This made me realize once more how precious these memories are.

Write these down, along with memories and traditions of other holidays.

  • Computer journal or blog
  • Notebook
  • Scrapbook with pictures/photos
  • Orally on tape or video
  • Round robin journal with various family members contributing

You also can incorporate your memories into stories, memoirs, and columns for publication.  I’ve done this with short stories, my Country Kitchen newspaper comn, and my anthology, Tales of Adventure & Discovery.

Share with us some of the ways you’re preserving your family holiday traditions.
