May is National Hamburger Month

I don’t really know how all these declarations come about, but the month of May is National Hamburger Month.

I would say that advertisers had a lot of influence on this one.  Since May is when the weather all over the country is looking great, and Summer Gilling Season is at hand, one better way to kick it off than with National Hamburger Month.
