My turn to host, and we have all been busy coming up with projects and posts that are worthy of Springtime! Our theme? May flowers, of course!
Tammy from Jewelry and Beading was recently inspired by watching a butterfly flit from one flower to another. The result? Flying Butterfly & Flower Earrings.
Noreen over at HankeringForYarn has been designing all kinds of wonderful flowers: Everything from spoolknitters to butterfly bags are in bloom on her blog. Lots of flowery designs to inspire thoughts of springtime!
When Mary Emma sees quilts with floral designs at Quilting & Patchwork, especially Grandmother’s Flower Garden, she’s reminded of her grandmother. At the Trails End Farm, where Mary Emma learned to quilt with Nanny, flowers abounded in the gardens.
Chloe at Tangled Thread shows how to make easy & pretty fabric roses out of ribbon
Katelyn from Stamping Mad talks about how we can bring a touch of spring to Alzheimer’s patients with rubber stamps.
Finally, here’s a fiber-based bracelet that I made after being tempted beyond all control by the gang at the WetCanvas wearable arts forum!

Great job, Cyndi, with the May Artists’ Showcase. I’m pleased to be part of it and my daughter Beth, will be thrilled to see her floral painted fabric included. (I used it in my post to illustrate how flowers have continued to influence my family’s creativeness over the generations, as well as remind me of Nanny’s gardens at Trails End, where I first did any quilting.)
Excellent showcase, Cyndi. Thanks!
Thanks guys! I’m glad you’re pleased with it
Your bracelet turned out beautifully, Cyndi! I’m envious.
Well thank you Wendy! It was a lot of fun to make once I got the hang of it
