Measuring and diagnosing pain

A while ago, I did a few posts on discussing pain and how to rate pain (Describing the Pain, Keeping a pain diary, Doctors discuss chronic pain, Talking to your doctor about pain, and Talking to your doctor about pain, revisited)
These are all helpful posts but I’ve found another great resource for you from ABC News. They have a video series (print transcript is also available) called How Is Pain Measured And How Should I Talk About Pain With My Doctor?
In the video, Russell Portenoy, M.D., Chairman, Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Beth Israel Medical Center, discusses how pain should be discussed, diagnosed, and treated.
Please click on the TV screen to see the video.
