Medicare Part D

Medicare Part D is Medicare’s prescription drug coverage plan. The folks at Prilosec OTC are campaigning to educate Americans about the coverage problem with Medicare Part D prescription coverage.

Prilosec OTC’s campaign is trying to help people understand the coverage gap, which works like this: After a certain amount of money paid, Medicare Part D leaves seniors to pay full price for their prescriptions until they have spent several thousand dollars out-of-pocket.  But there are options that can help people elude the coverage gap. Using less costly over the counter medications, people can delay or avoid reaching the prescription coverage limit.

Though it’s sponsored by Prilosec, it’s easy to understand general information that you might want to check out if you or someone you know is eligible for Medicare.
