If you or someone you love lives in New Mexico and feels that medicinal marijuana (medicinal cannabis) may help to relieve pain or other symptoms of the disease, this may be good news. The news reports that the government of New Mexico has finalized its rules for the distribution and possession of the product. Medicinal marijuana may be used to help make life easier to help those living with chronic pain, nausea, and other symptoms caused by chronic diseases and disorders.
In addition to having cancer, others who may qualify for its use are those who are in hospice care or have one of the following diseases or disorders:
- Glaucoma
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Epilepsy
- Spinal Cord Damage with Intractable Spasticity
- HIV/AIDS
However, doctors may make special requests for patients who do not fall under any of those categories by petitioning the Medical Advisory Board.
You can read the Medical Cannabis Update for yourself to see what’s going on.
