Meet Me & My New Best Friend!

Hello Burning the Scale readers! My name is Teri and I resolve to Burn The Scale!
I am forty years old, and a mother to four children – 16, 12, 10, and 8. I was a size 6 when I got pregnant with my oldest, in which I gained over 65 pounds during that pregnancy. After I had him, I lost only 30 pounds. And I kept on about 10 pounds with each subsequent pregnancy.
Right now I am pretty much a size 16. I was actually two sizes larger just two years ago and have incorporated a bit of exercise into my life over the last two years to get me where I am now. Slow and steady – that is me!
While I would truly like to lose 50+ pounds, my doctor suggests that I lose about 35 pounds, which I think should put me in a size 12. And more healthy, which really is the main goal, isn’t it? My initial thought is to incorporate even more exercise into my life this year, possibly making the treadmill my new best friend. 
And then slowly figuring out more sensible and consistent eating habits.
I hope you stick around and learn some new things along with us new bloggers here at Burning the Scale. I hope to learn some things with you all too.
