Cooking Light has offered up some suggestions for meals to warm our hearts while we stay glued to election night coverage:

Left- and right-leaning Americans have at least one thing in common: a good appetite.  Here are three election night menus from Cooking Light magazine, so you and your readers can eat well and party hard no matter what your political persuasion. These meals are just the “ticket” for November 4.

 

Republicans

Roasted Red Pepper Soup

Red Lentil–Rice Cakes with Simple Tomato Salsa

Beef Tenderloin with Mustard and Herbs

Strawberries with Crunchy Almond Topping

 

Undecideds

Beet and Walnut Salad (with blue cheese)

Red, White, and Blue Potato Salad

Peppered Pork Tenderloin with Blue Cheese Plums

Mixed Berry Crepes

 

Democrats

Mixed Greens with Blueberry Vinaigrette

Blue Cheese and Bacon Twice-Baked Potatoes

Grilled Blue Cheese Burgers

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

    It’s cute, isn’t it? :-) I wish I could have made the “Undecideds” white so it would be red, white, and blue…but that obviously wouldn’t have shown up!
