Je suis très heureux de présenter cet artiste. (I’m very happy to introduce this artist.)
Edouard Martinet has been working in Brittany France for several years, and he’s shown his work around France and abroad.
Working with found materials from junk yards and brocantes (flea markets), Edouard assembles his pieces without welding. As you look at his sculptures, try to imagine all their individual parts that have now been given new life.

This is from the work-in-progress section. I’m guessing it will be called Araignée.

Fabulous. Just amazingly fabulous!!
Cyndi, I agree! He has a very unique talent.
Really cool!
Thank you also for bringing back some of my high school French. I love the translation of praying mantis (religious mantis).
P.S. Peggy, you would be proud of all the re-purposing I am doing while de-cluttering my craft room. You have inspired me and raised my awareness.
love the work, Very inspiring.
could you please tell me the name of the fish or poisson sculpture by edouard martinet?
With thanks
Sophie,
There are two fish sculptures on his site, and it doesn’t appear that he gives them any name other than Poisson, which is French for fish.
