Democratic National Convention kicks off in Denver, Colorado

Michelle Obama has said that she wants to bring focus to the subject of work/life balance, and apparently that’s very good news for businesses.

As if we didn’t already know, the idea of working and trying to raise a family and have a quality home life is making us all a bit crazy!  Workers are getting stressed out, and so are the heads of businesses.  Business owners know that their employees can no longer keep working longer hours.  What’s more, with the economic downturn it has already exhausted employees worried about their jobs.

So what does Michelle Obama have to do with our stressful lives?  To put it simply, she represents some of things we are all going through.  As one source said, “New political leadership that equates higher productivity with working smarter, not working longer, could be the key to helping America emerge from this period as more competitive instead.”

  1. I couldn’t agree more. Michelle Obama represents what so many women are going through. I applaud her for what she stands for. It’s time for some sanity in all our lives. We don’t have to do it all to have it all!
