We got rid of ours four years ago, after reading studies about the harmful effects of microwave heating to the nutritional content in food, and we've never missed it. People also often microwave plastic, which emits harmful chemicals and makes the food or liquid you are heating up toxic. Bleech. Thanks for this post.
