Mid-Week Meltdown | What Makes Us Tick!!

Everyone has their little ticks, right? The things that set you off whether you are at home or at work. I have a few I’m going to expose. You may think they are small and that I may have some obsessive compulsive disorder but what’s not a big deal to one person may be a very big deal to another and vice versa. Let’s get started.

At Work:

• I work in a shipping department. When someone borrows something without asking it’s not that big of a deal as long as they bring it back. By all means use it if I’m not, but when you’re finished bring it back so I don’t have to go looking for it.
• My tape gun. Like my rifle in the military, my tapegun is usually not out of arms reach when I’m working. When I reach for it and it’s not there that slows me down. Some people will walk off with essential pieces of equipment without a second thought. This really pisses me off.

I used to work in another department and when the opportunity to take on a less stressful job came about, I jumped on. Shipping is easier than chasing work orders and wire.

At Home:

• The toilet seat left up…yes I said that. Why don’t I like the toilet seat left up? Because there is more of a chance of something falling into the toilet and either it will clog the toilet or someone has to get whatever has fallen in the toilet out. It’s usually me that has to do it. I opt for the toilet seat down for good reason.
• If you take off your shoes do not leave them anywhere that I may step on them or in a walking path. Simple logic, no tripping, stubbing, or ankle rolling chances that way.

Those are just a few things that get under my skin. They may sound like little things but it’s always the little things that turn into big problems and I don’t think I’m being very unreasonable here. Sometimes it helps to get little things like this off of your chest because other people can relate…and misery loves company!
