Some interesting news coming out of the American Academy of Neurology 60th Anniversary Annual Meeting about migraines:
Overuse of codeine, oxycodone and barbiturates increases risk of chronic migraine
Children with migraine at increased risk of sleep disturbances
Migraine frequency linked with women’s risk of cardiovascular disease

Sorry — I’m a little late commenting on this.
I was depressed about the link between migraines and vascular problems, but the connection makes sense. Not sure what I can do about it, but it’s always good to be prepared mentally for something.

I know what you mean about how discouraging it can be to hear this type of news. Sometimes I wonder what the purpose is of knowing - does it really help in the long run?
