Mildred Heath, America’s Oldest Worker, 2008
Mildred Heath, age 100, is a journalist who will be honored as America’s Oldest Worker in 2008.
She is a reporter for the Beacon-Observer newspaper in Nebraska and she has been in the newspaper business for 85 years.
She will receive the award from Experience Works, a national, nonprofit group that provides training and employment services for older workers.
I’m 44 with a first grader. I could be her someday, only 56 years to go.
