Mini Mini Quilts or Calling Cards

There are mini quilts and hangings of the size to fit a doll’s bed.  You’ll also find fabric postcards, an interesting variation of quiltmaking.

What about the mini, mini quilt…or fabric calling card?  These are approximately the size of a business card, or the old-fashioned calling cards ladies left in my grandmother’s day.

My daughter makes these tiny items, as well as post cards and small hangings.  Sometimes the quilters in her online groups exchange them.  They’re also fun to include in gifts.  They’re interesting to collect, too.

Simply make them the way you do the fabric post cards, yet smaller.  They’re a way to try out ideas and designs, yet aren’t time consuming to make.

Some of the techniques of using fabric for cards and gift tags found in Card Art by Susan Terry could be utilized for fabric calling cards and post cards.
