As for now, I heard about a new kind of technology which comes in the form of TI’s “ultra-low-voltage DC/DC booster chip” which is predicted to make waves for it could be the answer to creating devices like mobile phones that would not have to be recharged. Ever again. So in short, this chip is going to be a godsend.
Uwe Mengelkamp is the product line director for TI and he affirms about this product, “Designers, including those in the portable medical, wireless and audio fields, are continuing to look at how to apply solar and fuel cell technology to extend battery life and differentiate their products. It’s not certain what we will see first, but the ideas are endless.”
