Money From Wind Power, Says Rural Residents

In the Lower Arkansas Valley, you would notice that the wind is just oh so powerful. And because of this, the residents have decided to take advantage of their situation. Now, you would find quite a number of wind turbines whirring around as each gust of wind blows through the area.

For some, it may seem to be just a pretty sight – all those wind turbines whirring around looking like those pretty daffodils that you’ve played with as a child. But for people who live in the area, those pretty wind turbines bring them the cash. In fact, statistics have it that people who have wind turbines could actually bring in around $6,000 per year for one turbine alone.

These farms also do help out the area’s economy. They bring in people to do business with them. People who own land and decide to put up a wind farm can do so and also give jobs to those who need them. A spokesperson for PPM Energy, Anita Marks, also did mention, “We put wind farms in to make energy, but people are fascinated with them, they are beautiful on the horizon and a lot of people will come to areas that have wind farms just to see what they are all about.”
