Built in the 12th century, the king of Khmer, Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat in Cambodia was both the capitol of the empire and major temple, that honored the Hindu god Vishnu.

Today, the site is part of a larger World Heritage Site, and gets visited by roughly half of Cambodia tourists.

This holy place is still frequented by a steady stream of worshippers and orange clad monks.
