More About Apple Juice for Memory & Alzheimer’s

Ruth Schaffer, who writes the Eating Fabulous blog (www.eatingfabulous.com ) also mentions research regarding apples and apple juice for maintaining memory and gives an explanation about what scientists are finding. So that old addage, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” might also read “Apples and apple juice may keep Alzheimer’s at bay.” So it probably won’t hurt to include apples or juice in your daily diet.
I don’t think they were aware of this research when my mom was in the nursing home with Alzheimer’s. However, apple juice was one of the regular choices during juice time mid-afternoon.
