More Fun With Teacup Pincushions

I shared a basic teacup pincushion yesterday – a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!

If you want to have a little more fun with your teacup pincushion, try some of these variations

I added some simple lace trim around the edge of the cup.  I’d recommend hand sewing it in place, using small stitches and matching thread:

I’m a sucker for buttons, so why not add some buttons to the pincushion?  You could also top it off with a yo-yo as well!

Ribbons and costume jewelry can be a fun and easy way to add a little zing to your pincushion.  Hand stitch the ribbon and pin the jewelry on the cushion.
