It is very interesting to learn that more and more owners of homes are opting to use wind power instead of the conventional sources of energy. And as time passes, more and more are acquiring small wind turbine electrical generators for their humble abodes.
Cathy Simms and her husband live in Wall Township in New Jersey. Back in 2002, they decided to own a small wind turbine that could produce 10 kilowatts of power. Now, she says, “Sure, we like to do things that are good for the environment, but there are also economic advantages of going with wind power. Our electricity bill has been reduced quite a bit.”
Now those who love wind power are wishing that those in Congress would be able to work in 30% investment tax credit to all those who use wind turbines of 100 kW at most. Ron Stimmel of the American Wind Energy Association declares, “Right now, markets for small turbines really only exist in the states that have good incentives.”
