More Journals in Movies

I’ve written about Journals in Movies before, but I have another one to add to the list. Last night I watched The Bridges of Madison County. I know this one’s been around for a while, but it was the first time I’d seen the film from beginning to end. I suppose I should really get around to reading the book, though.

I can’t say it was a favourite, or anything, but the story written in three journals and left for her children fits into this list. Would you consider doing this? Will your children be in for any surprises when you pass on and they read your journals? And do you have any other movies I can add to this list?

I watched Notes On A Scandal last night starring Judi Dench and Cate Blanchet. Good movie and excellent journal theme :D .

  2. Hi Toddmen,
Oh, thanks for that. I’ll have to add it to the growing list. Sounds like a good movie, too; both good actresses. Thanks for commenting. ;-)

I just realized, without even thinking anywhere along these lines, that journaling is a major theme of the movie Dances With Wolves. If it’s not already on your list you’ve probably already seen it. It’s an old favorite of mine and now I think I might watch it again for old times sake and to see what I can glean from the journal focus.

  4. Cool, thanks for letting me know. I’ll definitely add it to the list, Toddmen. ;-)
