Morris County Weight Loss

How do you feel about weight-loss competitions? I see them on TV from time to time, and I have to say that it does inspire me to get in shape. There is something about seeing other people who share your desire for weight loss working so hard.

Here’s a weight-loss competition that goes across the whole of Morris County, New Jersey. For three months, members from 14 different towns have competed in a “Toxic Waistlines” contest to see who can lose the most weight. The winning town will “get bragging rights as the healthiest town in the county” and the “top three people to lose weight and inches in a countywide contest will each win $1,000.”
I think competitions like this can be a great way to get started on a weight-loss goal, especially because you have other people around you to support and encourage your progress. I hope anyone participating in this contest can also keep the weight off, and most importantly, start a brand new healthy lifestyle that will stick.

I agree that competitions can be a wonderful motivator for weight loss. The problem arises sometimes after the competition, when some people regain all the weight they have lost.
