Throughout the month of October, companies around the country step up with limited edition products benefiting breast cancer awareness. One of those companies is Mott’s. Mott’s has created limited edition apple sauces that will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. They come in packs of 6 in delicious flavors such as Harvest Apple and Summer Strawberry.

Grab a banana when you’re leaving in the morning. If you get hungry, it’s an easy snack!
The healthiest thing I can say is drink plenty of water and eat veggies and fruits and take note of the food guide pyramid.
I have a healthy “treat” at dinner. Something like applesauce or cottage cheese with pineapple. It makes dinner more exciting for the kids and I can feel good about what they are eating.

Be sure not to eat cheeseburgers for every single meal. Every other meal, but not every meal. Got it?
I have carrots and celery on hand if anyone gets hungry before dinner. We can snack on those and not get to full.
Set aside half of your meal when you go out to eat, eat 1 1/2 and normaly thats egnuff for a whole meal and your fill full
Applesauce can be used instead of oil in most recipes.
Eat lots of fruits and veggies
Drinking alot of water can make you feel full and you’ll eat less.
In my baking I always substitute 1/2 the oil called for in the recipe for the same amount of natural applesauce — cuts down on the fat and adds in extra nutrients and has the same taste & texture!

Try to only eat things when you know what every ingredient is
I add veggies anyway I can. Having salads is a great way to get your protein and vegetable fix. Also, find different ways of making vegetable palatable, such as baking them in the oven, or mash cauliflower as a substitute for mashed potatoes.

I make a point of drinking a LOT of water, and for a snack, I enjoy organic fat free yogurt with fresh fruit and cinnamon. Very healthy and tasty!

Go for the Three Threes on the label: at least three grams of fiber, at least three grams of protein, none of the first three ingredients are sugar/sugar substitute.

Healthy eating for me

We love taking our kids to the salad bar, and pick out tons of veggies for their plate. They get to try everything and they eat well!
Eat whole grain pasta and lots of dark-coloured veggies, like spinach and bell peppers.
Apples are great. They can be thrown in my bag without getting mashed. I can eat it anywhere.
Eat lots of fruits and veggies and cut back on fats and carbs.
My tip is to eat meals with whole grains, fruits and vegetables
I encourage my kids to eat healthy by always having a water bottle on hand as well as keeping fresh fruit in my bag.

A Healthy Lunch Snack for the kiddos are apple slices & peanut butter. It is sooo YUMMY & they don’t realize how good it is for them too! ; )
